Why I started True North Craftsmen.
I started True North because Hamilton County deserved a painting company that ran the way a good neighbor runs his own home. My family has been here long enough to know what that means. Show up when you say you will. Respect the floor you are walking on. Do the work right the first time. Clean up before you leave.
I am a craftsman, not a chain. I walk every estimate in person. I bring the Sherwin-Williams samples. I ask about the room, about how your family actually lives in it, about the color your mother liked and your husband does not. I write the plan down, plain enough that anyone on the crew can run with it. Then I run with it.
True North is faith-driven. I will not preach to you on the job. I will work like Colossians 3:23 is on the wall behind my head, and I will treat your home the way Romans 12:10 says I should treat you. The S.E.R.V.A.N.T. framework is not on the website because it looks nice. It is on the website because it is how we actually run a crew.
I named the company True North because a compass points the same direction no matter the weather, no matter the season, no matter who is watching. That is what I want our work to be. The same standard every time. The same finish every time. The same craftsman behind it every time.

The crew at True North is small on purpose. Every member is hand-picked by Taylor, trained to the same standard, and owner-walked on every job. There is no project manager you have to chase down because Taylor is the project manager. There is no subcontractor cycle because we do the work ourselves. When the truck pulls up to your house, the people getting out of it are the people who know how the finish on your trim is supposed to look.
We do not run more than two jobs at a time in the field. That is a constraint, not a marketing line. It is the reason the trim work on a True North job looks the way it does in the testimonials, and it is the reason we will not be the cheapest bid you get. We will be the one you tell your neighbor about.

Why "True North"?
A compass points to true north regardless of weather, terrain, or season. We named the company after that idea. Show up the same way every time. Do the work the same way every time. Stand behind it the same way every time.
The compass is the standard. The craft follows.

The Walk
Taylor walks the home in person, listens to the room, brings the Sherwin-Williams samples. Always free, never high-pressure.

The Word
A written estimate, itemized, the same business day. The estimate matches the invoice. The plan is written down plainly.
iii.
The Work
A trained crew, hand-finished work, premium Sherwin-Williams products. We clean up before we leave, every day.

The Watch
A walk-through with you before we call a project complete. If something is not right, we make it right. We stand behind the work.
