◆What we do◆
A canvas, thoughtfully finished.
Indiana weather is the test. Freeze-thaw cycles, summer humidity, hail in May, drought in August. Exterior paint either holds up to that or it does not, and the difference is in the product, the prep, and the way the coats are laid down. We do not skip steps because we do not want to come back in three years for a job we just finished.
Siding gets power-washed, scraped where it needs scraping, primed where bare wood is showing, caulked at the seams, and finished in two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Exterior or Resilience depending on the condition of the underlying material. Brick gets a breathable masonry paint that does not trap moisture. Stucco gets a flexible elastomeric where the climate calls for it.
Trim, doors, and shutters are the accent and they get the closest attention. Front doors get Emerald Urethane because every guest, every grocery run, and every package delivery touches that door. We pull the hardware, finish in place or off-site depending on the door, and re-hang the hardware so the screws line up the way they came out.
We do not start an exterior in weather we cannot finish in. Spring and fall are the working seasons in Hamilton County, and we plan around them. If rain pushes a job, we tell you the same day, in writing.
Materials and process
Sherwin-Williams products. Emerald Exterior is the premium tier for siding. Resilience handles the early- and late-season jobs because it can paint at lower temperatures. SuperPaint is the everyday workhorse. Emerald Urethane goes on the front door and trim that gets touched.
Prep is the whole job. Power washing removes mildew, pollen, and the chalking that paint will not stick to. Scraping and sanding take care of the loose paint. Caulk closes the seams water gets into. Primer goes wherever bare wood shows. Then the finish goes on.
Two finish coats, every surface. One coat is a recoat, not a finish. Color saturation, UV resistance, and the way the paint actually adheres all depend on the second coat.

◆Frequently asked◆
Common questions, plain answers.
When is the best time to paint a house exterior in Indiana?
Exterior painting in Hamilton County is best from late spring through early fall, when daytime temperatures hold and surfaces stay dry long enough to cure. We watch the forecast closely and will not coat a wall that is damp or about to get rained on. If weather pushes the schedule, we tell you the same day rather than rushing a finish that will not last.
How do you prep siding and trim before painting?
Prep is most of the job. We wash the exterior, scrape and sand failing paint, fill cracks, replace failed caulk, prime bare and repaired spots, and protect windows, roofing, and landscaping. A finish is only as good as what is under it, so we do not skip steps to save a day.
What exterior paint do you use?
We are a Sherwin-Williams Preferred Vendor. Exteriors get Emerald Exterior, Resilience, or SuperPaint matched to your siding type and exposure. These are the lines built to hold color and resist the freeze-thaw swings of an Indiana year.
How long does exterior paint last in this climate?
With proper prep and the right Sherwin-Williams product, a quality exterior repaint typically holds well for years before it needs attention. South- and west-facing walls take the most sun and weather first. We will tell you honestly during the estimate what your home actually needs versus what it does not.
Do you provide a written estimate for exterior work?
Yes. Taylor walks the full exterior in person, notes the prep your home needs, and writes an itemized estimate the same business day. The estimate matches the invoice. No surprises added halfway through the job.
