What we do

A canvas, thoughtfully finished.

Interior painting is the heart of what we do. Whether it is a single accent wall, a full main-floor refresh, or a top-to-bottom repaint with ceilings and trim, the standard is the same. We protect the floor. We mask the trim. We caulk the seams. We prime where it matters. Then we lay the finish coats on by hand and by sprayer the way the surface and the room call for.

Walls get two coats of premium Sherwin-Williams paint, color-matched against your existing trim and floor. Ceilings get a flat-finish ceiling paint that hides the rolls and the recessed-light shadows. Doors and casings get a different product entirely because they are touched, leaned on, and need to hold up. We do not finish the same surface the same way twice if the use case is different.

Cabinet repaints are their own category. We pull the doors, label them, label the hinges, label the hardware, and refinish in the shop. ProClassic Cabinet Finish goes on with a fine sprayer and cures hard. Re-installed in the order they came off. Your kitchen is one project. We do not subcontract any of it.

When a job calls for a stairwell, a vaulted ceiling, or a multi-story foyer, we set staging and we work to the same finish standard we would use on a guest room. No skipped backs, no thin spots at the cut line. The estimate matches the invoice and the schedule matches the calendar.

Materials and process

Sherwin-Williams products. Duration Home for living spaces. Emerald for high-traffic rooms and kitchens. ProClassic for cabinets and built-ins. Emerald Urethane for the trim and doors that need to hold up. Every product is matched to the surface and to how your family actually lives in the room.

Prep first. We patch nail holes, fill seams, caulk corners, and prime stains. The wall is sanded smooth before paint touches it. Floors and furniture are covered. Heat registers are masked. The room is left clean every day before we leave.

Two finish coats, minimum. One coat is never the finish. Color depth, hide, and the way the paint sits on the surface all need the second coat. Trim and cabinets get more depending on the original finish.

Frequently asked

Common questions, plain answers.

How much does interior painting cost in Hamilton County?

Interior pricing depends on square footage, ceiling height, the amount of prep and patching, and the Sherwin-Williams line you choose. A single room runs different money than a full main-floor repaint with trim and ceilings. We never quote a number without seeing the room. Taylor walks the space in person and gets you a written, itemized estimate the same business day, and that estimate matches the final invoice.

Do I need to move my furniture before you paint?

No. We move and center the furniture ourselves, cover everything in plastic and drop cloths, and protect floors, fixtures, and trim before a single wall is cut in. At the end of each day the work area is cleaned and the room is left livable. You only handle small valuables and anything fragile you would rather pack yourself.

What paint do you use on interior walls and ceilings?

We are a Sherwin-Williams Preferred Vendor. Interiors get Duration Home, Emerald, or ProClassic depending on the room and how your family lives in it. Trim gets Emerald Urethane and cabinets get ProClassic Cabinet Finish. We match the product to the surface and the traffic. We do not save money on materials, because that is where the work earns its longevity.

How long will an interior repaint take?

A single room is usually one to two days. A full main floor is three to five days. A full-house interior repaint with trim and ceilings runs one to two weeks depending on size and prep. You get a written schedule before we start and we hold to it. If anything shifts, you hear it the same day, in writing.

Are you insured for work inside my home?

Yes. True North Craftsmen carries general liability insurance and workers compensation for every member of the crew. A certificate of insurance is available on request before the job starts. The same crew that quotes your job is the crew that paints it.
